Harold G. Butzer, Inc. — Mechanical Contractors and Engineers, Dependable Service Since 1926
Harold G. Butzer, Inc.

Central Missouri mechanical since 1926.

From a one-man plumbing shop to a 150-person design-build mechanical contractor.

The company traces back to 1926, when Guido Butzer became a self-employed residential plumber in Jefferson City, Missouri. His son Harold G. Butzer took over in 1949, and in 1960 the business became known as Harold G. Butzer, Inc. In 2006, ownership transitioned to four longtime employees who became sole proprietors.

What we do

Today Butzer works across commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors, offering plumbing, pipe-fitting, sheet-metal fabrication, heating and air conditioning, and energy-saving control solutions. We operate service centers in Jefferson City, Hannibal, and Springfield.

Scale

What began as a one-person operation now employs more than 150 workers in the piping, plumbing, and sheet-metal trades.

Our mission

We aim to be the preferred provider by delivering cost-effective solutions while minimizing disruption — creating a win-win for customers, employees, and shareholders alike. Butzer has earned multiple Outstanding Mechanical Installation awards dating back to 1978 and holds memberships in MCAA, SMACNA, and the Builders' Association of Missouri.
